The Director of LMU Family of Schools, housed within the School of Education, is responsible for oversight and coordination of all aspects of the LMU Family of Schools, including serving as the primary development officer.
Position Specific Accountabilities for Development for LMU Family of Schools:
Manage the development plan for the LMU Family of Schools based on approved funding priorities approved by the Dean.
In cooperation with the Senior Vice President for University Relations, the SOE Director of Development, with input from the Dean of the School of Education, establish annual qualitative and quantitative goals, objectives and key accountabilities in order to increase donors and dollars raised for the LMU Family of Schools. Determine most effective means to report progress and provide assessment on a regular basis. Prepare and deliver annual written plans.
Work in cooperation with other member of the development staff including Corporate and Foundation Relations, Prospect Research, Annual and Special Campaigns, Government Relations, Communications, and Development Services to develop fundraising strategies, identify new prospects and plan effective solicitations for the LMU Family of Schools.
Actively seek funding for the LMU Family of Schools through grants and donations.
Position Specific Accountabilities for Administration of the LMU Family of Schools:
In collaboration with the partners, develop a plan for the LMU Family of Schools. Implement projects and programs to improve the quality of student life and student learning in the Westchester schools.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between the Loyola Marymount University, the School of Education, Los Angeles Unified School District, Westchester Playa Education Foundation, Westchester Neighborhood Council Education Committee, member schools, and other stakeholders.
Coordinate the efforts of LMU faculty, staff, alumni, and students in supporting the LMU Family of Schools, including the School of Education faculty, staff, alumni, undergraduate and graduate students.
Work with the school sites to provide work and volunteer opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students and alumni. Monitor budget and supervise staff as required.
Represent LMU within the Westchester and educational community and at professional organizations or associations, serve on committees as required.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Requisite Qualifications
Typically, a master's degree in education or related field or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
Minimum 3 years administrative experience P - 12 schools. Preferred: District experience or the equivalent.
Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of: student success, program implementation, public P - 12 education and higher education.
Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced by background in preparing comprehensive reports and executive summaries. Excellent public speaking, listening, and consensus building skills.
Highly developed organizational, administrative, and leadership skills.
Demonstrated computer competency and ease in utilizing web based systems for budgets and reporting.

Salary range
$87,900.00 - $130,300.00 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
