NACS is seeking an Education Production Manager to assist with the planning and execution of educational programming at NACS meetings and conferences. NACS www.convenience.org is the leading global trade association dedicated to the vibrant convenience and fuel retailing industry, and serves as trusted advisor to retailer and supplier members from more than 50 countries.
Event responsibilities include production and project management for the NACS Convenience Summit Europe, NACS SOI Summit, the NACS Show, as well as other live meetings. The Production Manager will also assist with set-up, technical support, and production of our growing portfolio of virtual meetings and webinars. This position reports to the Director of Education Engagement.
Event Project Management & Production (50%):
Coordination of speakers, agreements, rehearsals and other logistics for the annual NACS Convenience Summit Europe as well as on-site technical production, working with AV teams to provide an exceptional attendee experience.
Manage all speaker contracts, bios, and photos for NACS Show
Serve as education team liaison with NACS Show registration
Create schedules, outlines, handouts, and design presentations as needed.
Provide logistics and production support for member-facing events to include NACS State of the Industry Summit, NACS Day on the Hill, and “Pop Up” Events.
Virtual Meeting/Webinar Coordination (25%):
Schedule and set up webinars and online training for the Education team and other NACS departments, such as NACS Media, Government Relations, Research, Strategic Initiatives.
Monitor registration and provide technical support leading up to scheduled webinars.
Conduct technical rehearsals and communicate with presenters.
Manage and report analytics for all webinar and virtual event attendance.
Content Development and Coaching (25%)
Serve as education liaison for roughly 10 NACS Show Education Sessions, to include recruiting, coaching, and helping subject matter experts craft their presentations.
Attend the NACS Show and conduct tech rehearsals with speakers, and collaborate with NACS Staff to create an exceptional attendee experience.
Help plan educational conferences and meetings by assisting with program development, speaker management, and gathering and analyzing data.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and proven ability to communicate effectively
Demonstrated project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects at one time with attention to detail and customer excellence
Self-directed problem solver
Ability to work on a high-performing team within a collaborative environment
Interest and some experience in training and Education
Excellent computer skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Understanding of customer database applications (CRM) a plus
Working knowledge of BigMarker webinar platform a plus
Working knowledge of Smartsheet a plus
Roughly 10% annual travel is required to include one week in Europe and three weeks domestically throughout the year to select NACS events.
