Department OverviewThe Director Federal Relations reports to the Vice President of Public Affairs. This person serves as the university's liaison with federal agencies and the U.S. Congress. This position works independently to anticipate issues, respond to situations that emerge and promote a proactive agenda to build and maintain strategic relationships with federal agencies and Members of Congress. They must monitor, analyze and lobby on federal legislation which may affect the research, education, health care and community outreach missions.
