Job Description:
- Coordinates day-to-day activities of a portfolio of programmatic initiatives and act as primary program coordinator for the University of Chicago Civic Leadership Academy. Civic Leadership Academy responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding of the cohort, liaising with faculty, global practicum planning and execution, and serving as the primary point of contact for CLA fellows.
- Supports execution of all CEG events, providing day-of event production support and planning support.
- Manages and executes the entry of CEG data into Salesforce, working with team members to ensure maximum utility of the system.
- Liaises with Harris Public Policy data partners regarding Salesforce and other data projects.
- Supports in developing strategy and cultivation of external and internal partnerships, government relations, and development activities.
- Communicates with relevant external constituents as well as internal departments and colleagues to facilitate practical solutions and advance the work and initiatives of the Center.
- Maintains organizational records and archive relevant information.
- Develops and implement protocols for evaluating the effectiveness of programs and strategies, as well as internal systems and procedures to facilitate strong, effective, resource-efficient programming aligned to the Centerâ™s goals and priorities.
- Supports the Executive Director and other colleagues in the day-to-day management of the Center, including finances, development, operations, communications, technological infrastructure, and supervision of student workers.
- Ensures seamless coordination with Harris Public Policy and other key University and external partners.
- Uses moderate/solid understanding and experience to administer the delivery of services to program participants and/or beneficiaries.
- Has moderate/high levels of interactions with faculty, researchers and staff for committee work or information.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
- Experience in a higher education environment.
Technical Skills or Knowledge:
- Experience working with Salesforce, Hubspot, Concur, and other similar software.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and platforms. Preferred previous experience with HubSpot, Slate, and Salesforce.
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, Google, Instagram, LinkedIn, Skype, Twitter, WhatsApp, YouTube, or Flickr.

Working Conditions
- Willingness and ability to work in a primarily in person-environment
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time to support necessary in-person work with staff and external partners.
