Develop, implement and oversee communications strategies for the Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost in order to communicate effectively with an increasingly diverse faculty, staff, students, and community. Provide support for high-level events that are designed to advance campus and academic priorities. This position has responsibility for internal and external communication, including Provost Office events, the Academic Affairs website and the development and maintenance of a strong social media presence.
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Minimum five years experience in communications and events.
Experience with researching, writing and editing documents and producing content in a variety of formats.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong editorial, strategic, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
Experience using content management systems to maintain website communications.
Must be able to manage confidential information with a high level of diplomacy and discretion and maintain an attitude of servant leadership at all times.
Experience in a higher education environment or government relations office wherein public service and strategic problem solving are preeminent.
Bilingual fluency in both written and oral communications.
