Under the direction of the Assistant Vice Chancellor, Community and Government Relations, the Director, as part of the Office of Community & Government Relations, is responsible for planning and implementing the federal governmental relations program and advocacy effort for UCSF. The program and advocacy effort are focused on strengthening UCSF's presence and visibility in D.C. for the purpose of promoting the University's strategic policy priorities, particularly concerning biomedical research and clinical care. Based in Washington, D.C., this position is the primary liaison for the campus and UCSF Health to the Administration, Members of Congress, federal agencies and departmental representatives, boards and commissions.
