Support the Director, Regulatory Affairs & Policy on the management of PHKL's relationship with its regulators, support queries from the regulators and coordination of regulatory inspection/visits, etc. This role is also responsible for reporting on material political, regulatory, HK and China governmental policy risks/opportunities, which may impact senior management's approach to managing relationships with regulators and government relations.
Supporting the formulation of the strategy in dealing with governmental and regulatory bodies including engaging and influencing legislative and regulatory policies issues that could potentially impact PHKL & PGHK. Set up engagement schedule for PHKL and PGHK with IA, the key insurance regulator and all relevant governmental and regulatory bodies; including the coordination of consultation and position papers and correspondence on policy issues ranging from financial services to regulatory policy.
Keep the Chief Compliance Officer and senior management fully informed of upcoming regulatory engagement issue and reporting on material political or regulatory issue in China and HK that may impact management's approach to managing relationships with regulator and government relations.
Coordinate responses to consultation papers from regulators - conducting preliminary gap analysis, initiate workgroup meetings and advising on business implications
Lead and oversee (I) conduct of regulatory engagement training to senior management and designated officials. Also support the GHO regulatory engagement team for the transition from PRA to HKIA as Group wide Supervisor
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
At least 10 years of working experiences with 5 years specialize in compliance
Relevant experience in dealing with regulators or governmental bodies and experience in corporate communications or public affairs would be preferred
