The Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer responsible for a four-airport system including Jacksonville International Airport, Herlong Recreational Airport, Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport and Cecil Airport/Cecil Spaceport. The CEO oversees the direction of all organizational and administration programs and operations with the objectives of maximizing service to customers and local commerce and optimizing returns on capital investments.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, public administration or a closely related field and eight to ten years' experience preferred in the management and direction of an organization in the aviation industry. Eight to ten years' experience preferred in the management and direction of an organization in the aviation industry.

A valid driver's license is required.
Additional Salary Information: The current CEO pay range is $204,471 - $327,155 depending on experience and qualifications. The Jacksonville Aviation Authority offers a competitive and comprehensive CEO salary, benefits and expense allowances package commensurate with experience. The Jacksonville Airport System is a diversified airport system that serves the commercial, business and recreational aviation needs of the City of Jacksonville, Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. It contains 2 runways, 10,000 and 8,000 feet respectively and handled approximately 5.7 million passengers in 2017.
Cecil Airport & Spaceport (VQQ) is a former Naval Air Station that the Authority acquired in 1999. It is six thousand acres and contains four runways, the longest of which is 12,500 feet. Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport (CRG) serves primarily business oriented
general aviation aircraft. Herlong Recreational Airport (HEG) serves primarily general aviation
aircraft that are used for recreational purposes.
