Position Summary: Reporting to the Chief of Staff (COS), Public Affairs, and in collaboration with the Senior Vice President and the Public Affairs department heads, the Director of Campaign Operations will provide system-wide strategic and operational direction as well as project management support to 1) the University's Value of UC Campaign ("campaign") to strengthen support for UC by increasing awareness of UC contributions and broadening the University's base of supporters; 2) the University's initiative to enhance lifelong alumni engagement; 3) the University's upcoming sesquicentennial; and 4) other priority initiatives.
He/she will lead the integration and coordination of marketing communications, executive communications, alumni and constituent affairs, institutional advancement, media relations and government relations efforts to fulfill strategic goals and operational effort of the Value of UC Campaign and other initiatives and ensure those efforts meet campaign and initiative priorities. In partnership with that group, the SVP and the COS, the Director will develop and implement a comprehensive plan to support the short-term and long-term goals of the Value of UC Campaign and other initiatives, evaluate progress toward goals, and manage day-to-day campaign and initiative activities, including tracking, monitoring, and reporting. In addition, he/she will manage campaign projects, drive programmatic innovations and improve processes as appropriate, and provide advice and strategy with regard to campaign issues.
